Join us at Charlotte Room on Monday February 27th at 8PM when we’ll kick off our ‘Fantastic February Showcase’ at the Comedy Cabaret – Charlotte Room. Are you feeling the winter blues? Valentine’s day not pan out the way you hoped? Need to recover from Family Day? Come check out the Comedy Cabaret – now in our 2nd year!

Todd van Allen – Winner of the “Search for Canada’s Funniest New Comic’.
You may very well have seen or heard Todd Van Allen on stage, on TV, or on your iPhone. Todd has appeared in clubs all over Canada and the US. Todd hosts the very popular podcast Comedy Above the Pub, a weekly podcast that features great guests such as Henry Rollins, Michael Showalter, Anthony Jeselnik, and Iron Chef America co-host Kevin Brauch. Chris MacLean – Co-producer and co-host of ‘The Comedy Cabaret’ Chris MacLean started in stand up comedy later than most but has quickly become a sought after performer. Creator of the popular comedy website WitFull http://witfull.com/ A Torontonian, she does stand up within Ontario and New York, and has performed at Absolute Comedy, Yuk Yuk’s, Comedy Bar, and in the Great Canadian Laugh Off and Comedy Brawl.
Matt O’Brien – Matt O’Brien is one to watch on the Canadian comedy circuit. In 2010 he was named Canada’s Next Top Comic by XM Radio where he was featured at the Global Comedy Festval in Vancouver. In 2011 he filmed his first Comedy Now! He has also been featured on Q107’s Funniest Person with a Day Job, The San Francisco Comedy Competition, Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off, and Bite TV’s Stand up and Bite me. He can be heard on XM Radio and iTunes with his Podcast “News Talk Go” and his album “Comedy Records Presents” the debut from Comedy Records a division of Dine Alone Records.
Jon Hyatt -His comedy mainly looks into his own insecurities, his warped take on pop and political culture and the melting pot we live in boiling over. He hosted his own weekly comedy night starting out and was a top finalist in the Indiscover Comedy Competition.
Neil Griffin – The Hawk! ‘MASTER OF THE BRAMPTON BOOKINGS!’
Adrian Sawyer – For the past 2 years Adrian has been hitting the comedy club circuit all across Ontario. From competing in Yuk Yuks great Canadian Laugh off, to playing Absolute Comedy and being a regular performer at Shut Up and Laugh, Adrian has been giving audiences something to think about with his unique take on everyday occurrences. The end result is hilarity. Aside form performing, Adrian hosted and produced a weekly show called Superfly Comedy and has produced Fatkid Comedy and The Comedy Revolution shows at Second City. You can also see Adrian on the TV shows such as Monster Warriors and Sex Files.
Darryl Orr – Toronto-based stand-up comedian originally from Trenton, ON. He has left them laughing at Yuk Yuks, Absolute Comedy, Second City and is a 2010 Cream of Comedy finalist.
Rene Robichaud – Our French Canadian import!
Danish Anwar http://danishanwar.com/ -Toronto-based standup comic Danish Anwar takes hyphenated introductions to a whole new level. Born and raised in Moscow towards the end of the Cold war, he’s likely the world’s first and only Soviet-Born-Second-City-Trained-Indian-Bengali-Canadian-Comic. He has performed at The Second City, Yuk Yuk`s, Absolute Comedy, The Rivoli and Comedy Bar. He was also a finalist in the 2011 Toronto Comedy Brawl.
Scott MacLean – The “Unknown stand-up comedian” you will never forget!
Jy Harris -Jy is a standup comic and slam poet who has been performing around the world for ten years. Highlights include appearances at the Just For Laughs festival, the top late night talk show in Amsterdam: ‘Rayman Is Laat’ and his own one hour ‘Comedy Now’ special on CTV and the Comedy Network. Acting highlights range from a recurring role as a failed pornstar on ‘The Jerry Springer Show’ to the comedic lead in the upcoming stoner/zombie flick ‘Bong Of The Dead’ and a role in the new Seth Rogen movie ‘I’m With Cancer’. Jy was the opening act on Jon Lajoie and Pauly Shore’s recent tours. He has red hair and loves cats more than humans.
Amber HY – Funny, free spirited and outspoken. Amber HY (Fresh Meat) is on her way to the top!

EXCITING NEWS! Feb 20th @ 8PM The Comedy Cabaret Uptown premieres at Kramer’s Bar & Grill from 8:00 – 9:30. After more than a year of producing top notch shows at their downtown location (Charlotte Room – 19 Charlotte St) Chris MacLean and Robin Crossman have launched a highly anticipated second location. With an outstanding ALL PRO line-up of comedians on the roster, this show is not to be missed. There will be beer specials, ½ price wings, door prizes and music…plus Chris and Robin…or Robin and Chris…depending upon which one of them you talk to first.

Ron Josol – Ron is a professional stand-up comedian performing across the globe in top comedy clubs such as the infamous laugh factory in Hollywood California. In 2000 Ron won the Craven A’s funniest home grown competition for the Just For Laughs comedy festival and from there achieved a lead in his own comedy specials, “Comedy Now”, on CTV/Comedy network, the “Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and The Orange County Comedy Festival”. Certainly the most recognizable Asian comedian in Canada, Ron was profiled in CBC’s Bill Cameron short documentary called “Different but the same, and has been a featured guest on the Toronto show, Echo, omni1&2, MTV Canada, and recently the Biography Channel Canada. He has written/ performed on the Gemini award winning show “The Buzz”, has hosted his own television series on the new omni2 Network called, “FLIP”, has produced, co-wrote and starred as the lead of a short film based on his true story entitled, “Rolling Longaniza,” which aired on the CBC Zflicks. Currently, he writes and performs on the Much Music hit show “Video on Trial”.

Richard Lett – Richard Lett is an award winning playwright slam poet, actor as well as one of the most notorious stand-up comics of Canada. His distinctive voice and unforgettable humour makes him the most imitated, scorned, talked about, and punched comedians. He is fearlessly outspoken about safe/lame Canadiana, and pulls no punches on the USA either. He was Vancouver’s leading headliner (before moving to Toronto in 2011), and voted Vancouver’s top comic for 2006 in the local media. His second CD, “At Least There’s Drinking” and performances of his comedy are one of the most requested on XM Sattelite radio.
Richard is often recognized for his many television appearances, in particular the men’s show, a 13 part series on modern urban fathers, his appearances on The Comedy Network and Stand Up Samurais, as well as his guest star roles on US shows like Dark Angel, UC Undercover and Young Person’s Guide to Becoming A Rock Star. After twenty years in the business, and working with such stars as Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle, Richard continues to be as relevant, challenging and entertaining as anyone in comedy.
Alex Pavone –One of Toronto’s most engaging comedians. He can be seen on The Comedy Network’s MTV’s “Cocktales”, and is a regular at Yuk Yuk’s, ALTdot Comedy Lounge.
Alex has an in your face style that is at once intelligent and relevant.
